Day 10: Lost
I ran down the Grand Canal towards the docklands where I was set to make a quick left turn, followed by a loop around some newly built office complex to get onto the Haddington Road, but instead I continued on in an easterly direction.
About ten minutes later I realised something wasn't right when I found myself running in a 3 foot wide alleyway with "Crack Kills" sprayed on the wall. I had made it to the rear of the Sandymount Dart station, but sadly I had no idea what direction I should be going, just a gut feeling that heading towards some li-upt cranes might be a good idea.
I ran on for another while until I came to a big road, I think it was just by the Bewleys Hotel. I had a strong feeling that I should be turning right, but decided to stop and ask a guard, who advised me that I was going in exactly the wrong direction and would end up in Blackrock i I didn't do a 180˚ turn.
An hour and ten minutes after I left the house I returned, and although it was a slow run, it felt really good throughout.
I'm looking forward to extending these longer runs over the coming weeks.
