You are of course referring to the Strathcona High-Brown Police Boot, currently manufactured by the Alberta Boot Company, whose other claim to fame is manufacturing the boots Jackie Chan wore in the film “Shanghai Noon”.

The boots are named after Donald Alexander Smith, 1st Baron Strathcona and Mount Royal; Imperialist, Fur Trader and Salmon Fisher, and proud owner of one of the 19th centuries most prodigious beards.
